School Group Programs
There is no better way for children to learn about the environment than through first-person experience. Our trained naturalists guide students through engaging hikes, stream studies, educational activities, and discussions.
Week-long activity kit rentals: these themed kits, made possible by funding from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Environmental Protection, include field guides, aquatic nets, binoculars, clipboards, and everything you will need to explore the natural wonders of the world at your school! These activity kits make great pre- or post-field trip lessons.
Students have the opportunity to conduct their very own life cycle investigations with these all-inclusive kits. Each semester concludes with an exciting release program at your school!
Our current animal ambassadors include a variety of snakes, turtles, amphibians, bees, and fish. Choose one of our most popular animal talk themes or suggest something unique for your group! Our naturalist-handlers will also bring exciting “biofacts” for your group to see, touch, smell, and hear!
Connect your classroom to the environment with hands-on kits and curiosity-inspiring programs! Utilize a tailored combination of Strawberry Hill’s unique options to build interdisciplinary connections while helping your students form concrete understandings of key curriculum concepts. Our environmental education programs encourage students to be critical thinkers and life-long learners. Programs offered at schools are designed to complement our field trips and serve as wonderful pre- and post-field trip activities, but they can also stand alone!
We offer a wide variety of topics for Pre-K through High School that combine citizen science and PA Department of Education standards, including Common Core connections. Our lessons are also linked to the Next Generation Science Standards.
