Programs & Events
Founded in 1986 to increase public awareness, Strawberry Hill provides educational experiences that strengthen environmental understanding. We welcome hikers, walkers, runners, families, school children, teachers, photographers, birders, butterfly-chasers, and nature lovers.
The Nature Center & Office are open Tuesday through Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday from 10am-2pm.
The Preserve is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk.
We invite you to participate in activities that celebrate the outdoors, such as our skills series, hiking, and bird watching. And if you value what Strawberry Hill offers our community, we hope you will consider becoming a member.
Enjoy the sweet syrup-making process as we guide you along from tree to table. Don’t miss out on our delicious pancake breakfasts, either! Maple sugaring season runs from mid February through mid March. “Mount Hope Maple Madness” festival & pancake breakfasts are the last Saturday in February and the first Saturday in March. Pennsylvania Master Naturalist is partnering with the South Mountain Partnership and Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve to prepare citizens to become volunteer leaders in their communities through natural resource conservation education, citizen science, and stewardship.

Trailgating is full of family fun for all ages, with fun games, great food, and an outdoor children’s movie screening.
This fun fall event is designed to offer runners a chance to experience miles of trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains, while giving families the perfect opportunity to enjoy the colorful autumn foliage. 5k, 10k, and 15k options.
