Inspiring stewardship of our natural world by connecting the community with educational opportunities.

Located in south-central Pennsylvania, Strawberry Hill has been teaching and promoting environmental stewardship since 1986. Through innovative nature programs, animal ambassadors and hands-on learning, our naturalists educate more than 4,000 people every year. Strawberry Hill is Adams County’s only nonprofit environmental education center and, since the debut of our barred owl, we offer the only live raptor program in the area.

Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Strawberry Hill is a short 15 minute drive from Gettysburg. Our convenient location provides direct access to Michaux State Forest and hikers of all ages and abilities love exploring our trails! Visitors can spend an hour enjoying an easy loop or opt for a day-long hike on Michaux’s extensive trail system. The trails are open to the public, pet friendly, and free of charge.
