Here are just a few ways to enjoy your visit:

Spend an hour wandering down an easy loop, or opt for a day-long hike on Michaux State Forest's extensive trail system. Hikes range from easy stream-side strolls suitable for families with young children, to more rugged trails with moderately steep sections. Trails are open to the public, dawn to dusk, and dog-friendly.

Participate in one of our hands-on educational programs offered throughout the year. Private programs can be tailored to a variety of ages, as well as schools and community groups.

Explore a variety of Pennsylvania habitats, including wet and dry woodlands, two mountain streams, ponds, and a restored mineral quarry. Diverse plants and wildlife make their homes here, including marsh marigold, trout lily, deer, fox, red-spotted newts, barred owls, pileated woodpeckers, and wild turkey.

Enjoy free, drop-in programs like monthly guided hikes. Join the fun at our annual festival, Mount Hope Maple Madness, or attend a program!

Strawberry Hill’s office is open Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours may vary depending on programs and special events. For your convenience, Strawberry Hill trail maps are located at the kiosk by the log cabin.
