Spring Equinox: Night Sky Exploration

Join us for a free evening of scientific discovery as we break out telescopes and search the night sky! We’ll explore constellations visible on the first night of Spring! We’ll discuss the astronomical event happening as we learn about ancient cultures and what the equinox meant to their societies.

We will gather in the nature classroom at 7pm for warm refreshments. The program will last about 60 min and will include using telescopes around the pond. Limited number of telescopes available so please bring your own if you have one. Flashlights will be provided. Snow and/or ice is possible so please plan and dress accordingly.

For Scouts: This program meets the requirements for the following badges - Senior Sky and Senior Science Expert. You will receive a certificate of completion from Strawberry Hill.
